“… Milan Bureš sérii pojmenoval parafrázováním literární klasiky Na východ od ráje, čímž chtěl zjevně vyjádřit zvláštní povahu prostoru, jenž se definuje svojí polohou vůči Západu. V protikladu k Západu jako k něčemu obecně známému, hodnotově čitelnému a do velké míry vzorovému tu stojí cosi na východ od něj, cosi nejasně ohraničeného, splývajícího, neznámého…”

“… Milan Bureš named the series East of Eden, paraphrasing the literary classic. In doing so he clearly wanted to express the special nature of the area, which is defined by its position toward the West. In contrast to the West as something generally known, tangible and largely exemplary there stands something to the east of it, something vaguely circumscribed, flowing, unknown … ”
